The side casings are in great shape, it's the rest of motor that is really oxidized and in need of a blast job.

I always just scrubbed and scrubbed and wire brushed them taking many hours to do so but am thinking of going the sand blasting route?

Would it be more correct to say bead blasting ? What size, type pellets or whatever do I refer to when I ask a place if they are equipped to do engines?

I know a few on here have done them with excellent results and no amount of hand work could match the results I saw here on occassion.

I just want to make sure it's done the proper way and the place is so equipped to do so.

Not that it makes any difference but this is a 87 125 M engine.

What's the best way to plug up the intake and exhaust openings? Would I have to tape off the casings being that I don't want them blasted? I did a search but could not find who I'm referring to that had it done. I actually found most negative comments to not have it done, stating the blasting particals get inside the motor no matter what??

What about using a product like this? I wrote to this company and sent pic's, as the stuff looks like it may be just what I need?
