Back in december i bought a bunch of parts and also got a complete '84 125m. It supposedly runs (havent really tried yet) but wont go into gear. The previous owner said the problem was that the part (which was in a little bag) got bent. he tore it appart, figured this out, but didnt bother to fix it, slaped the case back on and sold it. I identified the part on bikebandit as the "stoper" which looks like it holds the shift drum in place as it rotated. Right now the shift lever moves, but no gear will engage. My question is was this guy right? Would this part being bent cause it to not go into gear? and also, why would this bend? Did something else break in there?
