When in doubt, go big. You won't hurt it by starting out way too rich. I would think with the mods you listed you'll end up in the 150's. Just be prepared to do some plug chops and WOT runs until you get it right. Get a jet tool too. You can change the main jet without moving the carb that way (although getting them in can still be a PITA, sometimes you have to loosen the carb up a little and just twist it to get a better angle).
I have basically the same mods as you but with some good port work and I run a 178 main, 52 pilot. I forget where my clip is. Another member I ride with though has the same exact mods including port work and he runs a 145 main so you just never know until you get in there and do it.

It would probably work to a certain extent. I dont know if you would be able to reach WOT with no resistance on the bike it would rev up extremely fast. If you could add resistance to the back tires it would probabily be better, even if its just holding the brake. Just a thought.

sounds like we run the same setup pretty much..I run a 172 with a 52 pilot.. seems a little rich at times but runs great and not much smoke..
