Hey guys i bought a paul turner pipe with a fatboy2 silencer but im not sure which pipe it is. I think its the high rev because it says ATC HR. Does anyone have a high rev they can check to make sure this is what i have? I looked on their website and still cant figure it out

Yep that's the one! Idk if it's the best though my Bill's pipe has a serious expansion area and just screems over on the top end, it looks bigger then the HR too. You still can't go wrong with that pipe man great buy!!

How do the 250R pipes rank??? How would you rate the following and why?

FMF Fatty
Paul Turner High Rev
Bill's Pipe
ESR ATC 5
Others?

I currently am running an FMF Fatboy and Powercore...am I missing out???

Thanks,
Kris

I dont know about the 250r pipe cause i havent ran any of them yet but id say your missing out. I've ALWAYS heard that fmf is just barely a step out of stock. thats just what ive heard...maybe someone with some experience can verify

I have a pt hi-rev, esr atc 5 and had fmf fatty. The fmf pipe was great for low-mid, the esr pipe was a huge difference, same bottom, but alot more mid-top, the pt hi-rev I use now, has some bottom but a screaming mid-top. You can't foget that dg makes a pipe also, I hear those are stock replacement w/o much gain.

You can't go wrong with a esr pipe for anything, for open riding pt hi-rev, tight woods pt type 6(I had one on my trx250r, bottom - mid it ripped, little top end). The fmf I would rate at the bottom next to a dg pipe. Fmf and dg in my book are stock replacement.

I've heard that too, but I've never run anything else (my 250R came with it). I'm sure someone will have some insight.

Current day pipes in order from best to worst (peak hp wise) that I know of.

Paul Turner High Rev
ESR ATC5
Paul Turner mid range
FMF
DG
Stock

Theres a TON of oldschool pipes out there like the Bills, CT, LRD, Klemm, PSI, Phase Five, Power Pros, etc. I wish there was a way to get a bunch of them together for a dyno shoot out sometime.

I tried to get a lrd pipe, they didn't have enough people that wanted them, they are having a hard enough time to get trx250r pipes made.

Billy, where would the Type 6 fit into your ranking?

Personally Type 6 is #1 on my list. It just fits woods riding to perfection. If you are looking for top speed and flat out top end power, the High Rev is the best. I have the Type 6 with the ESR silencer and I feel that is the best combination for the woods that you can buy.

Which one you mean Kris, the Paul Turner? Its right under the ESR.

ScottZJ -- why the ESR Silencer over the PT Fatboy?

I've noticed this seems to be a fairly frequently asked Question about pipe Identification and there seems to be a lot of different pipes out there. Is it a worthwile idea to do a sticky on identifying a pipe brand. If people could post pictures of a known pipe from a couple different angles and label what brand' it is, I think it would be a good source of information for those of us who don't know.
Just thinking out loud:D

in my own oppinion the fmf is a better wood spipe but dosnt pull as hard on the top and the pt high rev is the baddest pipe i ahve ever run on a 250r trike, i can clearly feel the diffrence and its what i was runnign on my r at trikefest and i wasnt far behind the 500's
