need carb help

the carb on my 250r is realy geting screwy. iv rebilt ita nd its still acting crazy.well it will free flow gas out the over flow some times.and the float is opening and closing all the way.it also will rev on it own wot sometimes.always seem to happen after doing any juping staring to get alittle hairy at times.i just got a new 38mm airstriker but im still trying to find a esr 5pipe and reeds.tell then ill have to deal with the stock carb so if any one can help me get this figured out it would be a big help

hmm,well just put the other carb on.why are you waiting?i would not chance it,you could hurt yourself,or someone else.

check the throttle cable to be sure it is not frayed,or split/binding up.also make sure you don't have an air leak,like a bad crank seal,blown base gasket,things like that.

well the 38mm airstrike wont fit the throttle cabler and it will be a *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited* to jet sence every thing else is stock for now.how can i check the base gaskit

start the bike up,and spray carb cleaner all over it.if it idles irradic,then you got a air leak somewhere.
