Hey 3ww,

Well I did it. I switched over. I went to the other side. And what can I say....
Its awesome! lol

Got a real good deal on casper from Derrick on here, couldnt pass it up. Since I was going to build up my other R like this anyways. And for the price, and all the items on there I coudlnt say no. So we travelled to ohio yesterday, sold the Tri-Z to Mark aka garageboy34 and bought this. What can I say, added some decals and some little tidbits, Moshs Seat which is SICK! thanks btw

Here are the pics

Your R looks great but of course does have the potential to look a whole lot better.

Can you explain what those silver bars do? They look dangerous to me, like your foot could get caught inside them? Are they for protection if your up close to another rider?

I got to be honest here, they just don't flow with the machine right, seems like they should have a curve up front and more bars inside them so your foot can't get trapped. Just my thoughts, that's all ...........

Kintore
02-11-2007, 08:50 PM
Those silver bars are Nerfs, meant to help protect you from other riders when racing MX.

Thanks Kintore, I sort of thought that's what they were for but they seem more like a danger to yourself? I swear it seems like a ankle breaker to me more then a protector for you?

You don't think getting out of shape while motoing a foot could possibly go in between them?

Huffa, the nerfs are much smaller than they appear. There is no issue of getting your foot stuck in there when you have your riding boots on. Hard enough to fit your foot around the shifter. lol

Where did I go wrong???????  I had hoped you would continue the Yamaha legacy and looked forward to the day when you would beat me and become my successor. Now I feel like that sheriff in the old western movie that had to gun down his own son when he "went bad". Sorry boy, but now Im gonna have to take you down!:naughty:

I'm going to make an issue about this!

I figure your toes go a bit farther (with boots on) then the shifter or brake lever pedal, it looks to me there is a good 6-7 inches over that yet.

I want to see a pic with boots on the pegs and this will prove you OR me wrong!

I still say your foot can get trapped in that set up!

Wait a minute, should there not be some type of netting strapped across? I thought I saw that on others with that set up?

Kintore
02-11-2007, 10:45 PM
By now everyone should notice I put "Kintore" on the back of my seat. I put that there so people will know who they are following! I even put it in large lettering for you tim, so when your at the back of the pack you can still see it! :)
Now that I think of it Tim, whats on the back of your seat? Dont think ive ever seen it!

Oh btw, im going to take a hair dryer to them decals and switch them over lol

it not for keeping your feet on the bike ....its for keeping other guys tires away from yours

you must have these to race a quad and yes most guys do run nets but you dont have to

the back of tims bike should say"your going down punk" cause thats what he tells me before EVERY race!!,lol.sometimes, the night before a race,i have terrible night mares.it's tim sr. dressed up like a clown,on this huge monster truck-tri z thingy.he's revin it up real loud and yellin"your going down punk" over, and over.no matter how fast i ride,i can't get far enough away.then i wake up screaming in a cold sweat!!!,lol.

I was going to put something snazzy on the back of my seat, but I figure i'll be so far ahead of everyone else, no one would get to read it anyhow!

Wow Tim, that was not funny . All because I took a header Into the dirt racin MX about half the track ahead of you, after all I'm just a drag racer. I think they still had time to get the smelling salt's out & wake me up before you passed by HE HE HE.

No, but I figure a kid's head is about twice as hard as any anvil, so I should be able to cut my time in half!
