85 R axle

a 85 250r axle will go in a 86 250r but not the other way around rite?

it will, with either you will have chain aligment problems. I had a 86 axle in a 85 carrier for awhile, I did notice that the axle ate up the left side seal. I would imgaine this would be similar the other way also.

rustyhondas you have it exactly backwards. 86 axles will go into a 85
