Hey Guys,

I need a new performance pipe for my recently purchased 86 ATC 250R. I want something strong in the midrange since I am accustomed to my 4 stroke 350X that I have ridden since 1985. Plus, it needs to look really cool. Suggestions? An FMF Fatty? Which silencer? Any input is appreciated.

Thanks guys. :-D

FMF is the best.

I posted a similar thread sometime ago and the ESR pipe was mentioned by someone on the board as being awesome. Thats what I hope to acquire for my 85/86 ATC 250R project.

FMF you will get best performance and also they are built quit well, silencer I would go with FMF, Answer or DG, they all are pretty good.

I have a complete FMF on my 85 250R and they are FAT!

Thanks for the info guys. I'm going to study on this awhile before making a move.. I appreciate the link, BIGKAHUNA.

350Xrider, I live in Summersville. I also have two 85 350X's. Nice to know there is a handful of us left in WV. :-D

These results may not hold true on the ATC, but for my 86TRX250R, I went from stock, which was all top end, to a Paul Turner midrange which was okay, decent for trails, but Im a hill climber so I got an ESR TRX6 low end pipe as recommended by a few people on here, and its awesome. Aside from climbing, I find it to be an excellent MX pipe for getting the holeshot, and pulling corners.

wondering if they work on atc. i know they advertise the 5 for atc's and have heard of an 11 on atc but it might have been modded to fit. what do you think timsr?

FMF W/ FMF Power Core they are an awsome combo.
