in the first pic it looks like a pinger pipe sloping down wards so i though there was a different engine in it, but it was the tire of the car, anyways thats not a bad spot for a crack ad you can brace that spot. I think 400 is a fair deal i would jump on it if it ran well. it has a nice suppertrapp exhaust on it also.

I thought the same thing about the pipe...optical delusion:crazy: . Frame melds worry me...but thats cause I cant weld to save my life. Widdle em down a bit, but for a runnin bike 400 isnt bad. And you can always sell the supertrapp and get a little cash back if need be.

My freind had a 250r with a cracked frame welded it up and cut a 2 inch pipe in to 2 pieces and into forths so it would fit around nicely and i welded it all around and we were jumping it a good 8 feet and it holded well.

yah the pipe/tire thing got me at first too! But he did say the frame has been welded for about 6 years and still holds even through a few crashes.
Sounds like he rides like me

that frontend looks a little tweaked.. the fender is straight towards the camera, and the tire is pointing to the right.. hmmm... good buy for 400 bucks though....

What are you all talking about.. "oooh sounds decent to mee" when i was looking into 350x's I had guys that wanted more than that for just the motor.. a Running X even with crappy plastics/tank and ridiculous tires like that is a freaking steal!! doo it nooowww!!

I just paid $400 for one in a little worse shape than that....they're tough to find here where i live so i was willing to pay the price for it. Heres the logic I used.....make a list of all the good parts...motor,forks,trees,swingarm,axle,wheels,air box,carb..etc....now go on EBAY and price all of those parts individually...what would they cost you..... more than $400 ?

You can buy just about anything for these still. $400, definatly worth it. I picked up a good '86 frame as replacement (decided to fix the original though) for $.99 plus $55 shipping off of ebay, so if the frame damage scares you just keep your eyes open for a good one.

Well I bought it.:naughty: It does run pretty good. I dont think it was just rebuilt though. It smokes a little but not bad.
I rode it at the guys house and all gears are there and the forks arent bent it was just the angle of the pic. Tried to ride it again when I got it home but it was running like DOO. Found out the tank is coated in rust bad.
Looks like Ill have to clean the tank and carb real well. Or just get a new tank it needs one any way

yeah i just paid 500 buks for a motor 2 days ago but it was super clean and it looks like it only had a couple of hrs on the motor so i would say you got a good deal ive seen rolling chasis sell for 500 on ebay and good motors go for 300-almost 750
my frames been welded in the exact same spot to and im not having any trouble with it
