Hey fellas,

I just purchased a 1986 ATC 250R in incredible condition (70% tread left on original tires and never crashed!) out of California and need some advice. I have owned several three wheelers but never a two stroke. All the fluids were drained from the trike about seven years ago for storage. What kind of oil and what mix ratio do you guys recommend?

I'm sure to have more questions soon. I'll try and post some pics. Thanks. :-D

All my two strokes including the 86 TRX250R with the same motor as yours get Belray MC1 at 50:1, and do quite well with it.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll be firing it up this week. Can't wait to thoroughly scare myself.

I paid $ 2500 from the original owner. A lot of money, yes, but you just don't find these in pristine condition often. It will go well with my nearly restored 1985 ATC 350X. I'll post a good photo of them together soon. I'm new to posting on the board but have been watching for a couple of years now. Great site!

BTW, 250MAD, incredible looking "R." And a great price.

Thanks again guys. See my pic! :-D
