well i have a 84 x and I hated the stock gearing on it for the riding I do, so i went to go buy a smaller rear sprocket, and the place only had a 35 rear tooth sproket so i decided to buy it, anyways it helped out tons for what kind i riding i do in the summer time, but now i ride on the lake and i dont have enough power in 5th gear when i hit snow, those are with my 20 inch holeshots, so i put my 18'' turf tamers on there and it worked alot better for power, but it still kinda seams to low and i could get more top speed, do you think I would have enough power to go up a size on my front sproket and keep the 35 on the rear with my 18s, now it powers it no problem, but still seams a little low geared witht he small tires, i have some engine work done so it has a little more power than a stock X, any ideas?........sorry its so long

going to 18s from 20s and 1 up in the front would bring it back down to what it was like with teh 20s and the 35. when you go down 2 sizes you go up 1 front, or 3 in the back. I would run 15/37. Thats what I ran and loved it. Still plenty of power for snow too. But I cant run it now since the chain wont tension enough.
