There's been some posts about what hubs fit what and add how much more width tire to tire. Some may have already posted this swap but it was news to me so hopefully someone else can benefit from this.
I got into these questions because I wanted to add some axle length to my 85 200X. The 450R hubs seem to be the way to go. Lots of 2004 or newer 450R hubs go for short cash and run 4/110 rims.
The rear hubs that I have from my 2000 Banshee fit right on the 83-85 200X axle I have. They need a half inch spacer in-between the hubs back and the stop or shoulder on the 200X axle. A piece of black pipe works great as long as it's cut and faced squarely.
Yamaha made about a zillion Banshees and people sell the parts cheap because there are so many of them out there blowing up  The hubs are cheap - I can't even sell the nice set I have for 40$ shipped. I've seen rear hubs on forums for 20$ shipped. So realistically you could grab a set of nice rear tires on thick OEM rims and hubs for short money.
I'm running Banshee stock rears on my 85200X and I couldn't have sold the parts for 125$ so I kept em.....
Whatever

does the banshee hubbs give it a wider stance? or is it the same as the 450r hubbs

No, It's actually the same as the stock 200X. Just gives you the ability to use Yamaha parts if you happen to have them or find them cheap.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 450R hubs give you another 1" each side...
Yamaha on A Honda who would of thunk it?lol
It like Jumbo Shrimp.

i bought a set of durablue hubs that have a banshee spline but you run honda rims. this way my triz can have a nicer rolled honda rim on it. plus i have so many honds now. i dont feel like buying more rims for a yamaha. but thats me.

Am I reading this right?
Can I take my stock hubs from my 2000 Banshee and slide them on the spline of my 85 350X and vice versa?

yes this is correct... i just put a set of yfz hubs on my 200x this weekend, they bring the rear wheels a LITTLE bit inward ( like 1/16th of an inch) and a set of yfz rear wheels and tires.. i think it turned out great, and they look factory (i know it is a diff. tire and hub combo than stock but looks riight in place).. i will try to post pics up soon, the yamaha hubs look a little bit better quality than the stockers, but that is just my opinion...

no, you can't use banshee hubs on a 350x, 350x hubs are 25 spline, same as 85-89 250r, 200x hubs are 24 spline.

That was what I was thinking.
Title said 200x/350x. I don't know diddly about a 200X and wanted to clarify.
Thanks.

i know they will interchange with a 200x, i knew the r's or 350x's were different but should have some luck with the banshee hubs... like you had stated, you can buy these for next to nothing, heck i got my yfz hubs for 25 dollars shipped and have access to more if you end up needing an extra set, just pm me...

I know my 250r and 200x/400ex hubs don't fit on each others axle. The 250r hub moves around too much and is a very loose fit on 200x/40oex axles. The 200x/400ex hubs are too small to fit on a 250r axle. The ends nuts on 250r/350x are 20mm, 200x/83-84 250r and probably most honda's are 18mm end nuts. This is why I am questioning this so much. If I had a set of yamaha hubs I could tell you wheather or not this fits at all. I know most honda hubs fit on each other, EXCEPT 85-86 250r/350x.
Also most yamaha hubs fit each other, banshee/warrior/yfz450 hubs are a popular thing to do to get more wheels available for tri-z. Another question, do they fit tightly or somewhat loose???? Someone also reported that worn lt250r hubs fit other brands too, but fit loose.

I can tell you from my experience that yfz hubs fit on a 200x PERFECT (heck ill put money on this one).. you can see when i first posted my 200x in the classified section that it had beadlocks and kenda knarlys on it.... yeah, those definitely werent intended for my trike, i just had them setting in the garage so i thought that i would put them on... the 250r's and 350x's had their own spline pattern, but like i said - the yamaha hubs have the same spline pattern as the 400ex's 450r's etc., its just that the bolt pattern is different...

The Shee hubs seem to fit perfectly, BUT - as I said you need a spacer behind it or the axle nut will bottom out before it tightens the hub against the axle shoulder.
