250 R shift lever upgrade

I find the stock shift lever (84 R ) just so ugly & boring to look at so I have 3 ideas here (do the 85 & 6 look the same, as in made out of steel?)

1) Is anyone here on the boards capable of making a sexier one out of aluminum with a toe piece simular to this one and if not then on to #2 suggestion ........

2) If I could find a company to make nice ones, I would like to know how many would be interested in upgrading?

3) Is there any ATV that is made now with a one simular to my idea that would fit on to the R ?

The company I would ask though would be HammerHead, those shifters are sweet! :beer

IMS makes a shifter... search ebay for 1984 250r lever and look in the stores ...........steel... folding tip... shiny.. looks good

I saw that one, it's OK but only that, just OK. I want something really nice in design to look at.

I wonder if that is the same company of the lever that I have on my SX ? I can't remember now but I do know it does not fit as precise as a stock Honda one. You can crank down all you want on the bolt and it still moves just a bit on the shaft, :mad: not good!

Matter of fact, once I find my old one it's going back on.
