alright, so i got this t3 motor in from ebay, took right apart to check it out. lots of good parts on it, as far as i can see the only bad thing is the rod bearing is crapped, tiny metal chunks in the bottom of the crank. new crank and seals and bearings, with a new rod and bearings. no biggy. the clutch in it looks brand spanking new, the impeller is like new, it was good to at least see that. then i decided to start looking at the top end on it. nice 84 kx cylinder, will need a sleeve though i think, or get it re nicked. right now its not nikasil lined, it has a cross hatch hone job on it, so more then likely it was resleeved? for now the question is, when i pulled out the reedcage, the intake boot is glued to the reedcage, cant seperate it. and it looks nothing like my stock t3 cages i have laying around. heres some pics, maybe someone has an idea of what type reed cage it is....thanks in advance guys.

Nope the v force has 12 petals. It looks like a boysen reed cage

i know that 1987 quadzilla reeds are the same as some years t-3 t-4. look like the ones in mine, mine have 8 petals, but are the carbon fibers ones

Thats a FMF ram valve. I had them on my LT250 for a while.

They had similar low-end power in my case, but the v-force had noticible gains in the mid-top.

I have one for 87 LT250 which uses the same 4 petal reeds as KX/KXT but the FMF down sizes the reeds and offers no gains over stock. I will say they are a failure as time and consumers have proven.
