stupid question but does the key have to be in, in order to use the kick start to start it?

No, you can kick it all day long without the key. Just wont give the bike any spark is all.

ok so if the kick start dosent move then the engine is probably seized?

Could also be your kick gears. Can you push the bike in gear at all to see if the piston will move?

I would suggest you get a manual. You can download one from this link. They ask for a small donation in exchange. Well worth it!

Crack into that case and see whats going on!

Good luck

Sat where? Was it inside all the time?

Look at this pic and take #14 cap off, you will then see a bolt that you can put a socket on, do so and try turning the motor back and fourth this way.

You may have trouble getting the cap off, might want to heat it up gently with propane if you have a problem getting it off. Use a wide enough bladed screw driver or a good impact. They are easy to butcher up if you are not careful.

Some really HOT oil through the spark plug hole might help loosen it up too?
