250 Big Red shifting problem...urgent.

After riding my 250 Big Red yesterday the shifter sticks down after you down shift. What could be the problem and how do I fix it.

Sounds like a shifter return spring or something to that effect. Shouldn't be too hard as long as you have an impact driver to take off your right case cover(aka clutch cover). Should be able to just buy a new spring and put it right in. You won't know for sure though until you take off the cover and see what's going on in there.

crack the cases! i would open it up now, to see if the spring is broke, if if anything brake, and is now harmful to the engine, and could ruin it.
