Did I change my diff fluid correctly?

I have a 87 250es big red and I changed my diff fluid today. The only nut I saw was the big one on the back so I took that off and picked the bike up in the front to let it all drain out. Then I refilled it as best I could but could only get a couple ounces in it. Is this all the oil that goes in there or am I missing something. Just didn't seem like alot of oil. Is there a way to fill in from the top? Thanks, I'm still learning.

thats the fill hole the drain is on the bottom left u wil c a cut out in the skid plate with a bolt on the diff just remove that to drain it..

fill it up to the bottom of the threds and theres a drain bolt on the bottom
