Well as I continue my build of my 1984 250R I have discovered another pleasent surprise. When tearing down some remaining early X parts I found I have an aftermarket ENKEI 1085 aluminum wheel for the front and already mounted on it is a nice like new trailwolf tire. Anybody have any opinion on these wheels? I think it is a 2 piece and I looked up the company now and it seems they still make wheels for the import car crowd mainly. Here are a couple pics of the wheel and the 250R wheel...

Also, lastly I was trying to decide which front disk to use. I know I will have to use the X hub for the Enkei wheel but I have a choice of the two disks since both will fit. (BTW I plan on using the X front caliper and braking system as well) On one hand the left one has 4 drilled spots in each line of them as the right side one has a 4 then 3 pattern. Another thing is the design in the middle. I am still not sure even though I know the right one would have to be cleaned up well. Please let me know what you think and sorry for the long post... Thanks! :beer

Oh, and one thing I forgot, are the rim stops shown on the left hub necessary or not? I only have two of them and would like to not use any. Thanks again!

Hmmm, well maybe you are right but I thought they were all D.I.D. That and it being in such nice shape and around twice the thickness of the R wheel makes me think it was aftermarket. You may be correct but either way thats the one I want to use on my 250R. lol

Alright then, I guess the only questions left then are why would the X have a seemingly better wheel? Was it a weight issue? Though you would think they would want it to be stronger... Also which disk which you choose if it matters?

I would use the disk on the left, I think the slots in it look alot cooler then just the holes in the one on the right.

OK, I have asked a couple other people and the 350X disk will be used... Last thing is any info on those rim locks? Thanks again everyone!

Honda used 3 vendors for rims DID,Enkei, and forget the other. Probably whoever would anodize them gold at the cheapest price.
I am unsure by the picture of the hub regarding the rim stops, a larger pic might help or explain in more detail what you are trying to ask

If you are talking about the tabs behind the studs on the hub, you don't need them.
I'm not even sure why they put them there, since the lug nuts are tapered and will self-center the rim, anyway.
