The Wife just brought this home from work(Parts Manager at a Kawi Shop). Her Boss/Owner, who also ran a Loacal Team Green Tecate Team and raced, brought this in for me after finding a box aof old mags. It ia a write up of a Tiger 200 by ATV News from 1984. Here are some pics, its to big to scan but I might try later and piece it together.

Nice pics!!!!! That must be a real early one that doesnt appear to be the jemco pipe most came with(says hand cformed cones and most dont have the heat schield.....never saw that pipe on one before and that appears to have that tecate "fatty " front tire on it like the one roller on the tiger page. Most came with the skinny front cheng shin.

The smaller Tigers remind me of a Tecate.

Blue27, Thanks for posting up this new found stuff. It got me to dig into my stash myself. I found a whole bunch of stuff about the CPSC ordeal. It will take me some time, but I will try to get the stuff scanned and put on the site. I just wished I had a complete collection of these papers. I only have afew of them, and I really would like the one with the Tiger stuff. lol

Thats when I used to race Flat Track, and close to home. We used to go there and watch the 358 modifides race on Saturdays. That is a very fast track, and big.

wow - that tiger ad just blew my mind. I used to race at Lebanon Valley in the 1984 season. I raced the pure stock 111-183 class if i remember correctly. I had to end my season early because i flipped my yt125 end over end. pretty traumatic for an 11 year old at the time - blacked out on the track. I got 3rd place in total points that season and raced against the adults too.

I think Jimmy White was supposed to be there for the nationals and was a no show. Big promo.

There was a very small tiger dealership in Pittsfield MA, that probably supplied that bike? They had one tiger at any time on display. The Lebanon Valley racers were mostly local to the area.

Nice pictures - thanks for sharing.:beer
