Check the link to my SX in my signature. There are two shiny chrome pieces that screw into two pieces of tubing that are mounted to the rear of the frame where the factory grab bar and toolbox are mounted. The rack comes down in the back and hinges on the grab bar with some rubber mounts. I keep a Phillips screwdriver in the trunk to help turn the chrome bolts (bolts, screws, what are they called I wonder?). Once these are removed the rack hinges backward and the plastics can be removed.

Dot he holes i the fenders come from the factory, or is it something I have to cut myself?

They have to be cut. I used a holesaw on mine and it made a nice clean hole.

You have to cut the holes yourself. I do know of some that came from the factory back in 86 but they had to cut the holes in the fenders too.
There is another type rack that is similar to that but you have to cut a [b]V/[b] in the back part of the fenders near the mud flaps. Here is my old 86 SX with it mounted on it. But any way you go, you will have to mod the fenders to make it work.
