View Full Version : removing the shift drum in a 125m?

so i have one motor with a siezed shift drum and another motoe with bad tranny gears and i can't seem to figure out how the shift drum comes out of the cases. any help would be helpful. i also can get pics if needed.

You have to split the motors to change the shifter drum. It's a pretty big job to do it.

i have the engines spit already and the transmission partly apart, but i can't get the shifter drum out of the case what holds it in there? i'll get pics tomorrow

You have to unscrew the pin on the left side of the motor. The pin I am reffering to is the one that goes to the netraul indicator button. #9 in this fiche ( see link ).

i can't believe i never figured that out, oh well thanks alot howdy. I got the bottem end put together that took almost all day now all i have to do is get new rings
