Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and 3Wheelers and need help with my Yamaha trike.
Its yellow.
2 stroke
no suspension in front or back
single brake in the rear
175cc or 200?
I have the trottle, choke connected correctly, but a small cable seems to be cut on the front right side of the engine. These trikes have an auto clutch right? What cable could this be?
Thanks,
Any help would be great.
Dave

there should be a stamp on the bottom of the cylinder on one of the sides that tell the CC's,, sounds like a 175

If it a 2 stroke, it is a 125 or a 175. The 200 are 4 strokes and have suspension on the front.

The 175's had front suspension.

Yes it looks similar to that. I assume its a 175cc because the previous owner said he thought it was and the cylinder is really large for a 125cc. Any idea on what that 3rd cable would be?

On the 200cc there is a compression release to make it easier to pull start...

Could cable be reverse? I took the cover off (4 bolts) and inside the cable runs to a little spool and two vacum lines on this square thing. Again its located in the front right section of the crank case.
Yeah it looks like that 175 but with a ridged front end.
It sound like a YTM 125 Tri Moto. Now if it was a YTM 175 Tri Moto then the front suspended forks have been swapped out for some reason.

I agree. And that cable you are talking about could be part of the oil injection system they came with.
The only way to find out what displacement it is to look on the cylinder head.

What you have is a 125. I have this trike and If the cable you are talking about is the same I'm thinking, then yes, it is for the autolube injection system. if you plan to run the bike using this system you need to replace it, but you can always mix the gas and oil straight in the tank and not worry about the cable. just make sure that no air is getting into the the engine , so plug the caps that you are not using.
