I got these lights for Christmas. They are a cheap imatation of TrailTechs, but I'm not complaining. These are 50 watts apiece so I only wired one light, but decided to install both, just for looks I guess.

Soon, just say the word. I can usually make it anytime on a weekend.

I have all the parts together I need to replace the crank seals and bearings. I'm trying to decide when I should stop riding it and fix it. Doesn't seem to be getting any worse, but I'm putting in more trans oil than premix oil at this point, gotta fix it soon. Chris

Looks good! I think I have the same lights but I mounted them on the radiator grille in the location marked. I used 2 fender washers to shim them forward so you can turn the lights 90 degrees so they won't hit the mount on the backside. You have to enlarge the holes also to get the bolts to pass through. There is sufficient room on the backside so the hardware will not interfere with the radiator itself, gives a nice uniform look.

you could run one off of high beam and the other off of low beam like i did with mine. :) just adjust them to the levels you want

If they were a set...then usually...one is a flood light, and the other is a beam. Like Troy said...it would work doing it that way.. beam for high..and the flood for low. Looks better than the stocker for sure.

250rulez, post up a pic, I'd like to see the way you did it.

Troy, I've thought of that, trailtech makes a nice hi/lo/kill switch I'll probably try when I get time.

they look like the ones i am gonna be using, but i am going to be putting them on the top triple tree bolts, one on each side. not that i do alot of night riding, but i do do some every now and again. wish there was a way to get them to both work at the same time though.

ccdhowell, is that gas tank cap stock? Looks like metal...

Like the lights, way better then stock.

BGM, that cap is one of my Christmas presents. It is a Tusk billet cap for a KFX400. It is black. I took my cap into the dealer and tried it on a KFX400 and it fit perfectly, thought about just getting a stock one of those, but then they told me the cost and the Tusk billet cap was only $30.

Did you put a regulator on there? I like the fact that the lights are almost invisible.

Yes, there is a regulator tucked nicely under the tank between the coil and CDI box.

Add a recitifier to the + line one the one hooked up and then run both, they wont be bright as with out the recitifier but you can use both on low wattage. Looks good though.

I just added this light to my dx the other day also. had to fab up some mouting brackets to mount to the bar clamps and to the light got it mocked up welded it tightend it down. Works great and is long range. Hooked it up to the electrical (never had a light before some one ripped it out). Here it is. Dont mind the backyard my brothers building somthing back there. Still need to paint the brackets black then im done/
