Aftermarket 185 tank

Does anyone have a picture of an aftermarket Atc185 gas tank on a bike? Do they fit well? Are they worth the money?

Plastic aftermarket tank on a bolt-on suspension 185s. It fits nicely. I have never had a problem with it coming loose. It just doesn't look as nice as a stock metal tank but rust is no problem and knee dents are no problem. Hope this helped. I'm not sure what kind of tank, must be a clarke. It came with the suspenion frame kit when I bought it.

Gameover, that is a nice trike. Is that a weld on suspension frame? I have one of those too with a similar looking swingarm, but, it's not assembled.

The only other thing that is holding me back from buying one is that my ATC185 is one of the orange plastic 1980 models, and I'm not to sure how well it would match? The used ones on Ebay do kind of look more orange than red.

You have a very nice trike your-self , i kinda like the bolt on better for the fact that if the frame ever gets damaged it can easily be replaced which is not the case with mine

Can you post a pic of it? :pics: I don't ever think or remember seeing an orange 185???

I like these suspension kits.. I'm guessing they are pretty hard to find though?

We have never been able to get our digital camera to work with this computer, so pictures aren't going to happen. Mine is a nice clean bike, but a "turd" compared to the ones already posted on here.:lol: Just search for a 1980 atc185 on here, I'm sure one will pop up, they were a odd year when it comes right down to it. As a matter of fact, My round headlight, throttle, and wiring harness came from the bike your motor came from, small world. Maybe we can get someone else to post a picture of their 1980 atc185, anybody?

Gameover, that trike is clean. I believe the weld on frames can take a little more abuse than the bolt on frames. I try and keep a close eye on mine and check the nuts and bolts every month or so. I also don't really ride it too hard, like jumping mainly. I'm sure with all the bolt on parts, mine is a touch heavier than yours too, but I like the novelty of the bolt on kit. You have to tell me where you got your shock at. It looks brand new. My kit has some age to it and the bolt on parts really need to be re-anodized and the trike detailed out to look really nice. Chris200x, the 185 suspension kits at one time were the trick set up, but hard to find now, especially on the east coast.

The shock was on there when i bought the trike and i don't believe there is a manufacture's label on it either so i have no info on it .i don't ride this one hard either it's not worth taking a chance of damaging it , actually i've only owned this trike for a few months . just kind of fell in my lap one day out of the blue
