Hi guys, just bought a 1982/3 atc 70, its for the kids ahem:naughty:

i used to have a 110atc years ago, nearly killed meself lol:w00t:
its in reasonable nick, i paid £130 for it so thats $250 ( is that a good price )ish, it doesn't run great but i have had it running, i had to heat the plug with a blowtorch and squirt some easystart into the carb, runs for a bit then chokes itself up, i think its down to lack of use and being sat outside so i'm gonna do an oilchange (what oil), put a new plug in clean the carb and drain the tank of stale fuel, oh yeah what do these things run on unleaded or lead replacement petrol (gas), it'll be a running restoration and i plan to strip it and paint it, new stickers n stuff, i have a few more questions but i'm gonna take some pictures of the stuff i'm not sure of.

so there you go, i'm sure i'll become a regular on here if thats ok??

cleaning the carb is probably the best thing you can do... unleaded gas will work just fine... it will probably run great after the new plug, carb clean, and new fuel.... good luck with it....

oh yeah the tank seems to have some rust floating around in it !! whats the best way of getting it out?? just flushing it with petrol, will i need to coat it with oil?

if you rinse it out with gas it should be good.. unless their is a large amount of rust that you can see, down in the tank.. they make all sorts of different tank coatings.. Kreem and RedKote are 2.. an inline filter might also be a good idea... they are cheap, and easier than tearing apart your carb because of dirt in the gas...
