honda 200m spark question

I went through the wiring on my 200m because i wasnt getting spark. I tried a new coil wire. new plug. I held a sparkplug in the wire and it gave me a shock, but its not sparking the plug. I guess the spark isnt strong enough. its an 1985. any ideas. thanks.

the spark plug boots are trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro. A new one w/ a wire will run you 3 bucks
there is a screw in the end of the boot that cracks and breaks off.
thats gotta be it assuming you are trying a good plug

Try a new plug before you jump to the conclusion of bad sparky wire. If it still has no spark, I would say the wire is then crap.

Both did the same thing. i stuck a screw driver in, and cranked it. it shocked me. but i tried the plug that was on it and the plug from my 125 to see if it was giving spark, and it wasnt. nothing, not even a weak spark. Could i be anything else.
Also, i am look for rear rim(s), rear plastic, kill switch, and pull start. thanks.
