I am going to be buying some rims for my 81 R soon and dont know what the offset is? Also I have an 83 200X parts bike with good hubs, will they fit on my R?There is alot more wheel options for it and the studs are longer. If they will fit off of the X what is the offset for it.Some only list that they are for honda's with a certain offset and dont actually say what type of honda they fit.

Hmmm think your going to be limited on what you can get......the 81R has a 3 lug hubs......which means you can only use the older 185s wheels... .you can't use different hubs because the 81R uses 1 spline less on the axle than the 82R or 200x,83/84R ,etc .......and the 81R and 82R axles can not be interchanged due to the different swingers.....

I just double checked to make sure but it has 4 lug hubs with ITP alum. wheels on it but they are very beat up and need replaced.Could it have aftermarket hubs or maybe an axle out of somthing elss? It is in pretty good condition for an 81 and doesnt look like the swinger or axle has be changed.I just picked it up today will take pics and post later.I really need to figure out what it has because the axle is slightly bent to and has to be replaced. It still has the sticker on the front of the frame inside the tripple tree and is dated 12/80 1981.......

Not too sure about that as I have 300ex hubs on the rear of my 81R and they fit fine. As an added bonus because of the offset of the hubs it makes it like a +2 axle. I have a +4 Durablue for it and it also takes the standard Honda hubs.

Thats a factory axle with 82 250R hubs which should be a 4 on 130 pattern. The 81 hubs had a 3 bolt pattern. Any other Honda hub should fit with the exception of a 350X or liquid 250R which have larger axles.

I have an 81 aswell but I noticed mine has the 4 lugs aswell. Question tho, mine has wide triple tree and wide front tire and rim. Any ideas what your triple is off?

Im pretty sure the tripple is the original and it has an 83R front axle with spacers.Which is not a very good set up.I am going to put a full 200x front end on it as soon as i get a chance.
