There is a guy in germany that makes some nice ones or you could still buy the oem one for like $10. What do you need one for? I have never seen or heard of a chain poping off a triz and breaking the case.

HA!!! I'm working with two sets of engine cases that have chain damage. The ones unweldable, but the other has been blasted and welded, I'm gonna lap em today and as soon as my stuff comes from Ronnie, assembly begins! HEHE!

I don't want to rely on the stock plastic, prolly gonna have a buddy machine me one if I can't find one stateside.

the only problem ya have with that is the 85 motor has only one hole threded on the top and on the bottom is not threded. on my 86 motor i use a 250r saver that i cut and redrilled to fit The 86 motors have both holes threded. At least my 85 dont have the hole threded, can someone check there 85 to see maybe i got one that wasnt threded?

Nope you are correct, the 85 is not threaded. But the guy in germany made one kind of like stock... around the shifter. He wants 85$ last i checked and shipping is the same..... OUCH!!!! so if maggies boy is going to have one made maybe he should make a few and selll them :)

Can you guys simply thread that hole 6MMx1 and use it? If the hole is too big maybe you can use a helicoil to get the 6MM out of a hole too large for the tap alone..

Im with you. Ive never heard of aTriZ throwing a chain either. Yamaha uses a nifty device called a chain guide and it actually works. Id imagine a case saver looks pretty though, if you're in to that kind of thing!

There's also a chance of an alien abduction, but I have no protection against that either!

If youre worried about chain and sprockets, designing a good rear skid plate for the TriZ would be a lot more useful.

I think the chances of a alien abduction are better! LOL
