I just got an 86/87 SX rearend for 162.50$ - Differentials alone grab 100$ or more. Won it, complete end to end with a diff, swingarm, guards, driveshaft, swingarm boot, brakes, axle, hubs and all clearly shown to be in unmolested clean shape.

This will be a spare and I'll share a buying tip if you want to upgrade your SX rear to a watertight brake housing, redesigned swingarm and hub model rearend. This one was listed as an 85, but it is clearly the 86/87 style - always look at the swingarm!! If you want a good differential, which is what most people are in need of - look in the same auction group for the driveshaft. If the larger bearing surface on that shaft is clean and shiny, then it means it was a tight assembley or never saw any water. Water is what ruins every good SX. And if the fastners have the zinc coating, then it is a good part. Bid on those and bid well on them if you love your SX and want to avoid buying junk that already needs bearings.

Also, if you SX guys want the thing to start in the cold, the 55$ kit is discontinued. Buy an 86/87 SX stock carb to fix the starting issue and gain a threaded in pilot jet.
