Just wandering if anyone has the larger tank shrouds for a 350x that are made by maier. I pm'd aussieduner about making them and he said he does not have a set to make the molds. All I have is the smaller ones. If you have a set and would like to "donate" them please let me know. Thank you

I'm just curious why you don't just buy the maier ones?

I don't have a problem buying the maier ones, but I like the idea of having other options, and helping other peoples companies grow.

I have a set I would donate, they are brand new white maier, but the screw holes are a mess. Im not sure if the are acceptable for a mold. If your interested, tell me where to send them.

Are these the big scoops for the 350X,screw holes are no problem i take the mold from the inside and correct any imperfections.

My superscoops that I bought from maier did that but mine wouldn't allow for my bike to turn at all without the fork tubes hitting my scoops. A few washers put in between the tank and the shrouds took care of this problem and they look perfect now :w00t: .

I have a set of the super scoops on my X and the bottom front rub (just a little) on my fork boots ,,, both sides.
It might just be that I also have a after market set of fork boots on mine that be a little fatter but at any rate if you could tweak the mold a little Tony so the bottom part is rounded off a wee bit more I think it would be for the better.
Anyone else's super scoops rub the fork boots ?

I have the stock scoops becasue of just that. If you could tweak the super's to be in between the stock and super's I think alot of people would be interested. I think the super's look just a little to big. IMHO...

I don't think they look out of place at all on my bike, could be personal preference though :wondering . http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m14/thebutelr/113_9088.jpg

honda changed the design of the tank shrouds in 86...In 85, the fork boots hit the shrouds as well. Maybe maier copied the 85's.

I don’t think they look out of place but something in between the two would be sweet. Why make what you can already get? There are two many other parts that are no long made? I'm all for Aussie putting Maier out of business too but why not go for something slightly different?

True, I would have liked the stock shape of the stockers just bigger like close to the size of the maier's. I guess I've kinda gotten used to the shape of them but at first I was thinking man thats different.
BTW: Very nice X man! :beer

I will never put Maier out of business i think Maier have been a fantastic supporter of 3 wheelers over the years and hope they continue to do so,hell i love the new black plastic on my 250R.
