The front of the seatpan on my 86 SX is raised a good bit where it would rest on the gas tank. It seems to be a pretty common problem. See the second pic in this (http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/showthread.php?t=61168) thread.
Anyone have a fix for this? Heat up the pan and bend it? Tie it down somehow?
When I redo the seat cover I use a heat gun and heat it up and bend it back.
You have to hold it bent back till it cools.

hey I have tried this and it seems to work, I think I learned it from someone on here actually. take the seat off and flip it over, heat it slowly with a heat gun or something. Once its hot set some weight on it, like a brick or? until it cools, repeat as necessary until it fits correctly, checking as you go.

use a cold, wet rag to cool it down .
