hey guys i just broke down the motor just wonted to know if anyone here has change out the clutches on theirs, what kind and are they happy with them thx...

Ive changed the clutch plates on mine. Pretty simple. I got them from yamaha dealer, i guess there oem. I thin just the clutch plates not the friction plates was 15$. They work the same as the ones that were in it before. Also i recomend if you dont get new friction plates, place your old ones on the ground and twist them so it makes a circler scratch pattern so they grip right. Also soak your clutch pates in oil for an hour before installation.

use sand paper to get the glaze off - works better than the ground-lol
im sure dennis kirk has the fiber plates for it-, might want new springs too-
