My niece bent the axle on my tri-zinger. I bought a used rear end off of ebay and the ring and pinion are junk. I thought about switching out axles but there is nothing about that procedure in the manual. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks Glenn O.

If it's anything like a Moto 4 that I did it's a press fit and a real pain to do. Yuo would need a very large press, some sort of jig and some good heat to swap the gears. Yuo might try taking your bent axle to a machine shop and having it straightened. I had a 86 200x axle straightened and you couldn't even tell it had been bent. The shop that did it for me reconditions boat shafts and props so a little axle was no problem.

The axle slides out after you split the diff case. Not to tough of a job. However the ring gear is not meant to be taken off thr axle. It is factory installed and thats it. Kinda like a 86-89 atc/trx 250r sprocket hub. Not meant to come off. The pinion is a piece of cake to remove.

Tecat-z you are correct. I used a press and lots of heat and got the ring gears off both axles but when I attempted to reinstall the ring gear on the straight axle I bent the axle in the press. Oh well gave it a good try. Its just like you said its a one shot deal. Thanks for all the help. Glenn O
