I am gonna rebuild a 200s motor i got. I have a Gasket set. Wiseco 12;1 piston, carb rebuild, anyway. Can i just put in the 12:1 just like a stock piston or does it have to be clearenced and then be sure the valves wont hit the piston??? How do i do it? Are they a pain or just bolt in...??
On my 200x, i had a 10.25/1 piston in it, and had to do nothing but hone out the cylinder and put the rings in, i wouldnt think the 200s or any other would have to be "clearanced" for the piston, although i may be wrong, only thing you could do is ask a dealer, or put it in the cylinder, push the cylinder down, put the valve component on and see if it hits. thats my only guesses. Hope this helps.

Anytime you stick a 12:1 in a machine you should check it. If your installing a cam too I would check it with out question.
