View Full Version : Honda 110 & 125 years - I'm confused.

I don't understand why Honda made the 110 along with the 125 of the same years? Usually when they up the motor size they abandon the smaller one then?

What years were the 125 and 110 made together ? I see in 85 they had both sizes but not sure about other years.

Is the 110 lacking in anything else besides the 15cc that Honda chose to make them both the same years?

Did they only use that nice deep blue on the 110? Only one year for the deep blue?

Only the 110's ever came in blue
1984-1985 the atc110 and 125M were both made (M had electric start)
1986-87 only the 125M (electric start, now redesigned with reverse and vertical engine)
I think i've got my facts straight here

one more thing, they don't always abondon the smaller displacement the 185 and 200 sure overlapped for a while

OH, so the 110's don't have ES. Geez, I have one and don't even know!

Not that I ever rode it though, I bought it and stashed it and have not touched it since.

I'm begining to work on my nice 87 125M, then will start working on the 110.

I don't think so, I think they were always red with the exception of the orange one in 73. Not sure how long they carried the orange thru the years though, maybe two?

A giveaway? How so? Was it a contest? That's the only way you could get a blue one, by winning it?

Yea, that trike isn't too bad. Be a while till I start on that though unless I get Chris down here to start on it. That lazy bum, he has nothing to do any way!

That was his or a previous owners doing, 70's, 110's and US90's were the only ones that came in a blue variety. The 70's were 83' only, I don't know about the 110's.

i heard the blue 70's one was given by Honda to each dealer for free. the guy i rent my garage from has a blue 70 he bought a couple years ago for his kids to ride. it's been threw a couple owners.

the blue 110's were 83 and 84 only. i have part of blue 83. i got it for $12 at a farm equipment auction. it was all the blue parts stuck on a 82 chassis minus back fenders. the frame was broke where the grab bar attaches from the farmer overloading the hondaline rack. now the stuff is on a 85 chassis i just have to find blue rear fenders. the forks were bent and i just got 2 weeks ago a strait set of blue forks for $5 off ebay:Bounce

i heard the blue 110's did not sell good. everybody wanted the red ones that why it was only 2 years. the tank stickers are different for each year so you can tell them apart by year that way.

Jason, how do find time to do all this stuff? I love auctions but you have to blow a whole day usually if you have to bid on something, then again I guess it may be worth it if yoiu save 100's of dollars.

So what was your favorite auction find as far as 3 wheelers go?

1984 and 1985 both the 110 and 125 were produced side by side.

Electric start and a keyed ignition. other than that - they share most all of the same components. As someone else said - the 185 and 200 were made side by side for 81-83 and they were nearly identical too. I think options were why they made them at the same time.

Did they only use that nice deep blue on the 110? Only one year for the deep blue?

1983 was the only year for the blue ATC70
1983 and 1984 Honda produced blue 110s. Here is a picture of the 2 years of blue 110s

i got the 83 185s chris200x is buying. the engine in that one is from a 1980 185 i bought + the blue 110 at the same auction. i got a 2nd 80 185 at that auction also that was all cut to run a piece of eguipment. front of frame cut off and axles cut off each side and v-belt pulley welded on. i think the 185 was cut up when really new since the exhaust studs were not even rusted at all:cool: there was alot of bent parts in a extra box that came with it.

so i got those 4 at one auction + a CAN-AM dirt bike chassis.

i would say the 2nd orange 80 185 that was cut. i put the engine in a 85 200x i got from wolfguy on the site that had a bad smoking 200s motor in it. the engine started on the second pull after installing it. it's alot of fun to ride that thing

i dont have any pictures of my toyota "feild" we were 25 minutes away at Larry's today.

I do that too ! :beer We are sicko

Ya know what though, there are way too many yellow and red lawn tractors, they fake me out quite a bit!

The irony of it all is I don't usually have the money for it anyway but I don't look for just me and will tell anyone about them.

Right now I know where there is a 200M and 200 Yamaha, not real exciting but I might as well mention them. Both need work.
