Jetting will vary due to altitude and engine mods. I bought a few different sized jets when I installed the cobra pipe on my 350x. I then changed the jets until I found one that worked the best. At 7000 feet the stock jetting worked best (It had a bigger jet in it to begin with due to being from St. Louis at 300 feet). As far as the air filter goes I have a Uni filter in mine. I would like to get a k&n, but even the stock air filter will work.

your prob gonna need to go up a size for the main jet with the filter.i wouldnt go with a k&n,they let dirt in and could wreck *Edited**Edited* motor.uni filters are fine

I did nothing to my x when i installed the cobra. Only problem is that the header needed grinded down to fit in the muffler.

the best way i would say is going to be install the pipe. Make sure whatever filter you have is good and clean. Airbox lid is optional. Install a fresh plug and take it down the road. Take the plug out and see what color it is. If its white you are lean and need to get a larger main (you can try raising the needle but a main is the best way). If you have to go up say 3 sizes on you main I myself would step up one size on the pilot jet.

Anyone who doesn't rejet is wasting their money on a pipe...

My 200X with Cobra got it's lid removed permanently and I drilled out the main to a drill size or 2 just below a 350X. Motor is stock otherwise and NOT running too rich. 3 sizes up at least was a minimum in my case.

Buying jets is great, but you can spend 40$ on jets real quick. I prefer to buy junk spare carbs and use number drill sizes until that "bogging" goes away. Usually takes about 3 shots removal and installation until you get it right...

If you saw my stock exaust you would see why i needed a new one. Mine didnt need rejetted because it already had a rigged up ker-ker on there.

I have a 350x supertrapp on my 86 200x, I had a cobra on it, I took off the cobra silencer, put the supertrapp on, cut the header back and done. I found that the optional spark arrester made my cobra system alot less annoying to ride, and improved the power some. Also ALOT quieter, the corba without the spark arrester was so loud, it was very hard to ride, it hurt your ears. I had to wear ear plugs for it!!!!!!
