That blows big time! I feel really sorry for you and do know how you feel. I had a bike stolen once and a car that someone kick the living %^#%$%$^*&*^$###$ out of it! Your heart just sinks man and that is all you can think about for weeks.

How did it happen? Did you report it? Keep an eye on ebay for a while now and check all local riding areas too! Could have been just some punk kids??

Was it well known by a lot of people that you had one?

Any parts that have special marking that we can identify it by?

I enjoy looking all over the net for ATC's and this is why I ask?

I wish you the best of luck in having it found with out major damage.

HEY, will home owners insurance cover it? Was it on your property?

most likely someone you know or lives close by. it'll pop up close by after they spray bomb it a different color.

sorry to hear that. i hope you catch whoever did it. back in 82 i had my 250r stolen right from my door step one night. we eventually caught the guys that did it. it was two fella's that i knew and went to school with. but i was not really friends with them, like hanging out and that sort of thing. got payed back for the 250r and bought a brand new 83 model. but i never saw that 82 again, it passed hands so fast it got lost in the hunt. so i would look around
" myself" first for possible thiefs.:(

get the word out that you are lookin to buy an atv
and make shure you get it to the not so reputable crowd they might try to sell it back to you or a friend of yours posing as a potential buyer. (catch them red handed)
I had my motor scooter stolen. They went joy ridding and dumped it on the side of the road when it ran outta gas.
never caught the culprits but at least I got it back a little worse for wear broken plastic and mirrors.

get the word out any where they might be able to take it ridding
talk to as many people as possible and ask the local police if they have an idea who might be involved they are usually fairly helpful.

dude that sucks.i feel soo bad for you man,i know what it feels like to have stuff ripped off.
from my experience the longer u wait the harder it'll be to locate it.
i would ask around and offer a reward for return or just who took it,then beat the theives real bad and make them pay the reward.

i hope you recover your bike man.

Sorry to hear about the loss of a loved one. I know what it feels like to wake up and have one missing as well. IT will stay with you more than weeks, its hung over my head for months. I now wake up at random times at night and just run outside and check on everything. I havent had a good nights sleep in a while over it. I say the same thing about whoever stole yor machine that stole mine, whoever stole it deserves to have there hands forcebly removed and then left to die from there bleeding wounds. Worthless no good sorry....... I better stop, I am very touchy on this topic.

well if he cant beat him up, ILL beat him up for him. random-strike is a good guy from what i seen on the boards, and many of us are not wealthy people in the atv community. we have to work very hard to own what we own, and its sick that someone would go out and steal our bikes (usually some rich brat feinding drugs, because mommy and daddy wont give him money) this pisses me off, when i was a kid i had a bike stolen, i was about 11 years old! the cops thankfully got it back, but whoever had it put a bad beating on the bike. never was the same. i have no idea what i would do if someone stole my 250r :(

My deepest sympathy goes out to you RS, I was violated 2 years ago, I made the mistake of letting a junkie neighbor see in my garage as he was skulking by-I had a sweet '83 XR200 twin shocker that needed rings. I found out months later he got his butt kicked for selling a beat dirt bike. Good luck, brother. I sure hope you get it back, TGG................

This makes the 2nd stolen trike topic i'v seen in the last month. i wish people would get off there lazy asses and go earn the money for they're own trike and stop stealing other peoples. I feel bad for anyone that has they're trike stolen, I know if mine was stolen i would have nothing to do around here and to top it off i dont have the money to buy another. Some people are just A-holes, i hope you get it back man.

I guess one idea if you don't have a very secure place for your trikes, would be to try a camera system. I know some guys that use them and they work very well and aren't too expensive. Hook it up to a VCR and let it go. It's better than nothing.
Sorry to hear about your loss.

None taken. I know what you mean, but it just depends on the dog. Temperament and socializing is the key, the one pictured above is very laid back. But he HATES other dogs he doesn't know and people he doesn't know. He is an excellent watch/guard dog.
His father, which I raised from a pup also but now lives with my brother, is very aggressive and hyper. But one of the toughest Boxers I've ever seen. He was jumped by an Akita at the vet's office in the parking lot and he locked down on that big fat neck and held on and shook like crazy until the vet came running out and grabbed the Akita (the Akita jumped out of the back of a truck and the Boxer was on a leash). That Akita weighed at least 120 pounds, and "Louie" weighs about 65 pounds.
I don't want to start a whole new thread, but I've owned several Pits also. I love MOST dog breeds.
I think the smartest I have ever owned and still own is my Boston Terrier, "Frankie".
EXCELLENT inside dog and super watchdog. He is SUPER protective of my family, and especially my son. And he WILL bite if a stranger comes inside without me holding him and letting them meet, etc. It has happened once to a UPS man who stuck his leg in the door.
But he absolutely LOVES kids. Maybe I can teach him to ride a 3-wheeler:lol:

Well, most of the owners were also kind of in their own little world too, so I would expect it to rub off on the dogs. I like most dog breeds too, untill you get down to where the adult only weighs 20 pounds, then they start to annoy me, and I no longer consider them dogs.

I know what you are saying TrikeKid. My cat weighs 20 lbs and is about 3 times the size of a chiwawa. Bigger dogs are the only weigh to go. I desperatley cannot wait to get out of Reno and move back to St. Louis so I can finally get another American Bulldog.

Well since we got onto the subject of guard dogs and then Boxers came up I thought I would show ya my guard dog!!
Shes a Shar pei/Boxer mix and is a bad mofo to say the least lol!!!
When I was living in Florida people would move to the other side of the road when they walked or biked by my house, shes very intimidating lol!!!
And again,sorry about your loss!!

i am not a fan of tiny dogs. we have a boston terrier, not too much smaller then the french bulldog, but smaller, but way way less stocky... french bulldog is the best dog ive ever had.

Your best bet for finding it would be to ask around for a 350x for sale. I would also drive around the streets at night looking for them riding around. Snow is also your friend, look for tracks. If you memorized your tread pattern you can follow the tracks and hopefully find where it is.

TrikeKid
12-09-2006, 09:41 PM
The problem with that is, that most areas in WA the snow has melted. I've been keeping an eye out for it while combing craigslist for deals but nothing's popped up.

super90
12-09-2006, 09:51 PM
Chances are it was some underage kids. It shouldnt be too hard to find it if it does snow. Its not common here to see 3 tracks in the snow where i ride.

just a thought, even though you want to tear heads off,i wouldnt,in october these bums tried acussing me and a buddy of stealing or knowing who stole their 300 4x4 cause were younger guys who know alot of ppl.we offered to help find it but the guy started threatening us with his buddies.we had no idea who took it or where it was but i found the bike 2 weeks later like i told the guy i prob would.because of his attitude and him threatening to "kick my head in" i told him nothing even thou there was a reward.

i think you'd be better off offering a reward for info, tell ppl stuff like"i dont care,i just want my bike back" get your friends to help looking/asking around.think of the low-life who live near by.police prob wont care about a 20 y/o 3 wheeled contraption.
once you find it,do what must be done:twisted:
good luck man

We had to fence our 4 legged security system up this year, allegedly it was our dogs that killed the neighbors poodle I found laying in the middle of the road. She's still ready and willing to try and jump the fence every time somebody shows up, (usually the other 3 try to do the same, but because they want someone to play with). She's really a cold blooded killing machine, I swear!

99% of the time something is stolen from you, it's a friend. Or someone who your friend told about your stuff. I never "advertise" my stuff and don't let new people into my life until I've known them for awhile. Even then I play it down the ATC's are real cheap to buy and not nearly as nice as a quad or something..... Look around your circle of friends and it will probably ne the skinniest, weakest chump of them all.

Sorry to hear-where on the frame was the welding performed, I just bought a 350x that has the frame welded on it-but it is not in the location as you state under the plastics-can you be more specific about it please?I'm not saying I got yours here, but it doesnt hurt to check it out, you got a serial number by chance as well?
I checked this 1 out on a national database website that publishes serial number of stolen atv's motorcylces and it can up clean, but I have had a fl400r stolen from my garage about 3 years ago and I know the feeling-it blows!!!

Not to be a 'ass*%&e' here but I hope I do not have your ride here-If it is yours I have the sellers address, etc for you-PLEASE LET ME KNOW IMMED-thanks.

Yeah, most of the time they let them sit somewhere and give them a rattle can job. Then when they think there in the clear they take them out riding, but usually its not hard to spot a stolen atv/atc. Just look for the infamous black paint. But who knows maybe its exactly how it was then it was stolen. Keep us updated!

When I was 14 I fell in love with a friends 125M. It took me until I was almost 30 to earn the money to get my own. An 86 R bought from a friend. I never laid eyes on it while I owned it and there is no way I'll ever be able to afford another. Kinda makes me want to turn to the darkside myself. Apparently the thieves are enjoying my hardwork. If ever I caught a thief I would remove some fingers. Thats why god made ski masks!!

but the weld is on the left side of the frame, towards the back, above the swingarm mounting place. and its not painted over, just some bird *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited* weld i did with my cheap welder. it also has a broken front fender, that is red. and a bunch of stickers all over the white rear plastics. and brand new ITP wheels and new turf tamers, with red lugs.
