350X Head and Rocker Box's

I'm getting mixed awnsers
can you or cant you mix the two from different engine without probs.

Has any one actually mix matched the two and what was the outcome of dooing so.

I know that they are a machined pair from the factory.
and honda sells them as a pair only.

You can run a Honda FT500 big valved head with a 350X rocker box. There is a little alloy welding to be done at the front and rear on the top surface of the FT head, but nothing real serious. If you place the 350x rocker box on the FT head, you will see where I mean.

I am about to mix match a pair on my 350x. I do not want to but do not have a choice. I don't think that it will hurt anything, however the preffered way would be to use a matched set.
