Will a 83-84 front end fit on a 82 250r?

i have a set of 83-84 front forks, bottom tripple, wheel, hub, caliper and disk. i want to know if this settup will fit on my 82 atc250r.

personally, i don't know. i am building an 82 and have thought about using them. from what I've studied, they have the same steering stop on the lower tree, look to have the same dia. fork tubes but longer, and use tapered bearings so you would have to knock out your old ball bearing races and use the tapered races.

man that 82 you got is nice, I would keep it all original if it was mine, but it isnt so... have fun, I have an 81 roller, and when I get the 83 I will check differences
