well I picked up my '86 250r over the weekend and am now thinking about what exhaust to replace the original with?

I was thinking along the lines of a full fmf system, but after searching the forums found that the Paul Turner systems are also very good.

most of my riding is through the bush, but will head to the dunes now and then.

I'm wanting a good looking system with a nice crisp note (not too loud) which will improve the performance of my 250r through out the rev range

I look forward to hearing your advice.
If you could recommend any online dealers which can ship to Australia that would be great

thanks

was great fun at the dunes the other day! I can't wait to get back up there, hopefully I'll have a few more days next time.

Do you have any contact details for DG Newcastle? I could use that muffler I got with the 250r

What is that? just a aftermarket seal in between the pipe and motor? where can you find those?

I know you guys are all out of australia really, but I have been in search of a nice pipe for my 86 250R, is there a way you guys could send me a picture of these pipes and even a price on them? I'm in the US so would they be willing to ship them out here?

ESR makes 1 of they best pipes for the R.It is the ATC5 pipe, great all arond pipe. It lists for 229$ chrome. Also a ESR Silencer to match for 109$ Thats what I would run.

Eddie Sanders Racing (ESR) makes one. It might be that exact one pictured, I dunno.

yes an aftermarket seal, it's supposed to stop the oil leaking.

I found that one on ebay

I don't know about that one in particular but the billet o-ringed flange I have is awesome. Completely stopped the leaking and even seemed to boost compression a bit (could be my imagination though, lol).

ok guys,
an fmf pipe and silencer turned up at my door today, I just need to fit it to the bike and rejet the carb.

the pipe is a gold series, looks like it might be one of the older ones. It's a goldish colour.
Do you guys get these chromed? or just polish them? what is easy to maintain?

thanks
