Im in the market for a extended swinger..Im thinkin either 4 or 6 inch..I've been running my stocker for years.. My question is how much will a new swinger really help me in drags..Granted my R isnt really a drag bike..But its all i can do to keep the front end down in 5th and trying to power shift from 2nd to 4th is a joke... And how much will this effect my wheelies and just overall ride..I've heard a somewhat longer swinger really smooths out your ride..........Anyway i know i want one! but should it be a 4 or 6 inch.. And what brand should i go with? I was thinking calfab..Im going to look on ebay when i figure out what i want...Thanks :)

I have a +1 on mine, the 310pv and all rest of trx hi-perf mods it was a joke to ride it with the stock swinger. The +1 makes it rideable, but if I don't sit all the way up, it will wheelie out of control.

+4 on my 500. Keeps it down unless i don't want it to. It will still grab some sky if I gun it.

The longer you go with the swingarm, the more you loose your turning radious. If you like to slide & have good control while sideway's I would'nt go over 2-3". I have a plus 6 on my drag 310r & love It. But I think for an everyday rider 250r I would build a +2. If you don't jump alot, try just lowering the bike some In the front & loosen up your rear shock spring tension. That makes a real big differance.

Dam kasey, i wanna go riding with you sometime :) Im guessing the 4+ i want is going to be around 400..Im not sure if i want it chrome or not since i dont have much chrome on my bike at this time..Im going to be making some film this summer so im looking for the new swinger and new fork springs so i can start jumping again... I really want the new swingarm cause i've never used anything else other than stock on all my bikes over the years..Well i think im going with the 4+.. i just need to find the right one now....

And it seems ill be getting a chrome swingarm from the looks of it...This might be a dumb question but does chrome rust? I ride at the beach alot so alot of salt water around...I just dont wanna have to spend a butt load of time trying to keep it non rusty...

buy a stock swinger and extended it. its slot cheaper and you can paint it what ever color you want im doing it and im having my ceramic coated so it will never rust!!! if you dont have access to a welder and grider im sure you could find a buddy to do it for you or i might be able to do one for you for a fee!!!
