Well, im now 19 and since I have rebuilt the Honda Odyssey's *FL250 and FL350*, I figure a 350x seems like a nice rebuild. Theres a pretty rough one here for 300, that he had running, but it died while going up a hill and wouldnt start again, It turns over, gets a spark and all that, but it just wont start. I wonder if it could be a good project? *pics included*

Thanks for the welcome =) Do you think it would be harder than a FL350? My 350 took me a year to completely rebuild... and a lot of swearing.

Parts can get extremely expensive for the 350x if you want things like NOS plastics. If you use aftermarket stuff it's not so bad though. I picked one up for $500 that was/is very cosmetically challenged and needs some mechnical work. Thanks to some wheeling and dealing, the majority of the cosmetic parts (plastics and gas tank) are getting done for nothing out of pocket (plastics) or very little directly out of pocket (gas tank). I still need some things for it (chain, sprockets and some engine work) that can get pricey but I'm patient. I'm sure I'll get good deals on what I need eventually. Right now with all new plastics other than the headlight shell, tank getting re-done and a blingy headlight guard, I still only have a total of about $540 into it and it's already looking like a different machine.

Mechanically it will be more challenging to rebuild than your FL350 just because it's a four stroke engine (more moving parts). You can grab a manual from the link in my sig.

Oh, the poor thing! $300 is a good deal. Pick it up and do it right. You'll be happy with the results!

my FL350 costed me 700 for the frame, a seized engine, and the seat... thats all that came with it. In the end I paid 2,768.74 for everything. Not too bad. WC head, Rad, New plastics, decals, seat, tach, street legal.

Im just worrying about the engine, he couldnt get it fired up again, so I said I would wait on buying it, until i learned more. It just died and didnt get up again..
