I own two 81-82 Trimoto 125's and a friend also has a newer style yt125 that he recently acquired. The problem this weekend: His moto started squeeling like a banshee- (not the quad) coming from what sounds like the transmission area. We checked the tranny oil level and guess what, NO oil at all. What part(s) do you think would have burned up? We haven't had a chance to take it apart yet but I would like an idea before next weekend when I can look at it.
Also got to thinking, where did all the oil go? There is no leak so do you think the crank seal is out and let all the oil into the crankcase? Or do you think the previous owner drained it and forgot to add again.......
