Is there a trick to removing the front brake caliper off the brake disc. I can certainly remove the 2 bolts that holds it onto the fork, however once it's loose it seems like it's stuck in between the rim and the disc and will not slide out.
Surely I don't have to disconnect the brake line in order to give it more play? The manuals say nothing about this problem?
Anyone seen this problem?

unbolt the rim from the hub and move the rim over. this has to be done on all Honda ATC's with a front disk brake.

I find it much easier to just loosen the three nuts that hold on the disk - then the disk slides over enough to get the caliper out. You won't even need to take the nuts the whole way off.

Thanks for the tips, It's interesting that the Honda service manual don't mention this problem.

It took me many times of forcing out the caliper or just removing the whole axle/hub/tire before I found this little trick. It saves so much time. Just out of curiosity, does anyone else do it this way? Maybe it is common knowledge - maybe it is not???
