Hi all, I have an 85 200X which still has the H-trac Pro Vector tire in very good shape, However I suppose I have some dry rot starting on the side walls and it leaks down after sitting for about 4-5 days. I was thinking about putting a tube in the tire to prolong the tire and to keep it original.
Anyone have any thoughts about tubes, or should I let the old H-trac die and replace it with aftermarket tires?

I have done it both ways. Minor weather cracking isn't bad, but if it's cracked a bunch to very badly, then it's replacement time.

fill the weather cracks with rubber cement or super glue- sounds crazy but its chemicaly bonding and works great -
espescialy if you have a gouge or slice in your good tire-
while mine was aired up - it was like a inch long and deep!
i used some new good krazy glue- no problems just apply it a couple times with the air out let dry and air it up and youll see
hey you asked - lol

glue wont last . it doesnt expand or flex the same as rubber, not to mention it isnt safe.a high speed blow out isnt fun. just green slime it or get a tube.
