I hate people like that. I dont like to say hate, or hate in general, but I cant stand people like that. The man should have been wearing a helmet. I agree, it is tragic, but what year was he injured, 1994, and what year was the bike, thats right a 1985! Im going to assume that this farmer probably bought it new. He rode it for 9 years without incident, then had himself an accident. If thats right, they had that machine for almost ten years, and the wife probably never had a problem with it until then. Farming can dangerous, farmers get injured all the time.
Kitchen knives arent safe when improperly used either, but you dont see a bunch of morons trying to ban those, now do you? Anything can be perseived as dangerous, or poorly designed. The threewheeler is just easy prey.
Sorry for my negativity, its just that some people really bother me. I mean come on, if my brother accidently stabbed himself with a knife, you think I would go after the company? Its just easy prey, with an easy paycheck. pathetic

Just read the part about the recall!!!!!!!!!!
I would be very upset if that ever had a snowballs chance in hati of passing. I knew there was a reason why I am buying up trikes like theres no tommorrow.
If you think about all the lawsuits against Honda by this point, the lawsuits have probably cost more then they ever made off the dang things. If you also notice, you dont ever see anyone going after Yamaha, or Suzuki (or at least I havent) I think that might be once again because Honda is an easy target, with very very very deep pokets.

Why the hell did they jump right to the three wheelers when that same incident sould have happened on a quad. I mean, his foot got caught in the tire, is that suddenly something that can only happen on a trike?!!! f@#%ing rediculous!!!

Freaking sad, isn't it? How Americans have changed, for the worse since I was coming up in the late 60s early 70s. Now folks think they're entitled to "get theirs" it seems.

it sux the guy got messed up. but you ride responsably with a helmet. i always ride with a helmet. i havnt spilled yet but i will and i for one dont want to have a cracked skull.
now about the lawsuit its b.s. when i bought my trike i knew what i was getting into. trike are for for responsable people that know how to have fun and yet still be safe. dont get me wrong i like to peg it to but i dont in fields. ive seen to many people get hurt doing that. (woodchuck holes) = pain. if i ever fell/spilled real bad would i sue honda NO i wouldnt. because the odds are it would be my own fault or a misstake. why should the companis pay out of ther pockets for a bad spill that happened on a 20 some odd year machine? its plane stupid. the only way i would sue them is if i bought a new atv and the frame broke 5 hours into the very first ride it has seen. nost of you are probably thinking "you would sue if you wer them" ha ha ha nop ive spille plent of my sleds so bad they wer trashed and i was knocked out cold with my helmet on. did i sue ski doo? nop it was my fault not thers. these people need to just relize its not alway a companies fault.
i also agree with the fact that people always blame trikes. there could be 400 deaths on quads and 1 on a trike and all of a suden its a trike killing spree. does anyone know how many deaths there wer on atvs since the end of the trikes?

Yes very stupid. Everyone is at risk of getting hurt on an ATC or ATV. By starting one up and driving it, you should know your at risk. Everytime I go out, I know i'm at risk of being severly hurt, but i'm not going to blame anyone if I do except myself. The right safty equipment should be wron too. Why do you think they put warning lables on the machines. There not just there to peel of because they make it look crappy.lol.

This is my favorite part...."Honda three-wheeler was inherently dangerous beyond the contemplation of the ordinary consumer."
Translation: "It doesnt look dangerous" aka your too stupid to own a trike.
Lets say Ive never seen a gun. It doesnt look dangerous. And I am ordinary and a consumer. Looks like Smith & Wessen better start designing a gun that looks dangerous. Maybe one that looks like fire....or a lighning bolt. Those are universal signs for danger. FROM NOW ON ANYTHING DANGEROUS HAS TO LOOK LIKE A LIGHTNING BOLT CAUSE I KNOW WHATS BEST. (Look Im now the CPSC)
