You can drill a small hole in the jet and then tap in a Torx bit and screw it out.

I've done it a few times myself..I was lucky tho, i was able to remove it with a small pair of needle nose.. U just gota try to get in there with something and get it out..Just be careful not to thrash the threads...Good luck!!

Ditto. I also had luck pressing a small phillips head in it and turning it right out.

Just like bigreddaddy use the Torx ! I broke my Z carbs jet last year. I used a torx bit just a wee bit bigger than the hole. Tapped the bit in snug and the jet screwed right out !

if its a 85' stock 250R carb, or a 84, ive got one of each, ill sell ya both for 50 bucks (thats shipping included), both seem perfect, and one was the one i used before i upgraded to a larger carb. 85 one has no main jet in it currently, just took it off last month and it worked fine. lemme know - if its a 86 your out of luck though :)

Slip in a Easy Out and it came right out , didn't even have to drill ...

Wow That was a super fast fix About 15 minutes ...

Hey guy's was out trying to jet the 250R , Just put on a bill's Pipe & silencer ...

Well went to change the main jet and it just snaped off ....

Whats the best way to remove ?

I hear ya man...had to get a new axle and carrier when the bearings went out and got sent, first, an axle and carrier for an 85. sent that back. then the 86 axle they sent me is bent and having a hell of a time tracking one down. (by the way if anyone has one let me know, OEM or Aftermarket) but at the end of a long ride itll all be worth it.
