Just thought I'd stop by say whats up and share my recently acquired Tecate. I spent a good many hours riding 3 wheelers that my Pap had and loved every second of it. Its been a while since I've been on one but I cant wait to get back into riding again. Anyway on to the trike, I got it on partial trade for my Beretta that I was getting rid of. Its in pretty decent shape for its age considering its just as old as I am (kind of weird to think). It was just recently gone over and any worn or broken parts were replaced so I dont have to worry about any of that for a while. Its sadly not Kawi green anymore but I can deal with it being white for now. I'm almost a little scared to ride from what I've heard about Tecate's being pretty mean machines. I know a guy that used to race trikes back in the day he was sponsored by honda (Jim Shipton, if anyone knows him?) and he was telling me about racing against the Tecates and how it was pretty much the best time of his life. Well thats enough rambling heres some pics of my new money eater. :p Later, Kevin

Is it painted white or are the fenders actually white? AussieDuners white number plate would look sharp on there.
WELCOME!

Thanks for the welcome :D I'm near Williamsport 17701, anybody near me? The plastic was painted white before I got it, it was originally green. Any suggestions for upgrades or anything I should do first?

Great bike to choose with I got one of them and boy do it run :welcome:
First thing is definetly clean that puppy and look into a nice pipe and silencer; like a DG and slowly but surely you can end up in motor rebuilds and upgrades from dennis kirk

I'm not too far from you. I live right outside of Hazleton. There are several Pa riders here on the boards and we get together quite often for a great time. Click the links in my signature for some pictures of riding in my area along with the last ride a few weeks ago at paragon.

I've been to hazelton a good many times going to harrys u pull it, love that place. I'm going to have to find a way to haul this thing around all I have is an IROC. I could put a hitch on it but I'm sure I would never hear the end of it from my friends, I already get crap about how I should have a mullet.

I asked the guy I got it from and he said the silencer is stock because he bought it himself. So you guys think the pipe is def aftermarket?

The pipe is definately aftermarket. I see the silencer from another angle, its stock but the pipe isn't.

Thanks big green, I saw a DG pipe in the classifieds and it almost looks to be the same dimensions and stuff but I'm not really familiar with any other aftermarket pipes. Would a different silencer do anything for me? I love this thing I just got home from classes and jumped on it and took it for a spin. I love when it hits the powerband and it just takes off. Good thing I have a helmet on the way :D
