Are reed valves for all R's interchangable?

Just what the title says. I got a buddy that may be able to hook me up with a reed valve for my air R project but I want to make sure it will fit. I thought I read it on here somewhere but I searched and couldent find it. Thanks!

im positive that the 85-86 Rad valves (boyesen) have an angle on them and therefore do not work on the 83-84's. im pretty sure the stock cage is angled also to clear the rear shock on the 85-86's but the actual reeds i beleive are all interchangeable
