Ok Aussie trike owners listen up...Australian ATV Action is doing a trike feature next edition:w00t: !.... so ive been asked to co-ordinate the trikes and owners for the photo shoot to be held at Stockton Dunes NSW,story has a December 5 deadline to be completed so who's up for it ?
Editor will confirm the photo shoot date shortly.

Its all coming together Billy ive confirmed these machines so far and PMed others,

my black 85 and stock 86.
2 x 87 Tecate's Jase and Todd.
Paul C and his 250r buddies.
Tony C and his 86 R,350 power valved big $ machine.

Still need to hear from Mart and his crew of 3 wheelers and ive had no TRI-Z owners reply ??? it would be perfect to have all 3 makes represented ! still got a bit of time yet to gather more troops.

Tony is that the magazine you showed me at TF with your Pilot and your buddy does interviews and tech tip and rides? That is awesome you getting a group together ,Glad to see it !! I hope it goes good for ya , and I know personally that organization is alot of work,'The Michigan boys came out,nearly doubled at my ride this year'!! Its going to be awesome to see all the trikes in one spot and the location for the shoot is one of the best rding area's in the world.Barry the editor is also the photographer,he's been in the bike mag business a long time heres some pics from my Pilot feature last year.

Here's an awesome shot of Tony Caban and his big bore short track '86 R this is one of the best presented 250r's in Australia and big Tony can ride it hard he will be featured in the trike story.

Mags: Shipping a single larger package would be a lot cheaper than umteen little ones. And I would be glad to distribute some mags for you. Just let me know.

That is awesome, interest in 3 wheelers is growing. I am starting to see a few more people besides me with trikes in the truck or on the trailer. The exposure is great and I wish Dirtwheels or ATV Sport would do a fresh trike article. Please put me down for a magazine too.

Ok we will have a meeting at the main carpark off Lavis Lane so please arrive between 10-11am Sunday morning,Barry from ATV Action will be arriving and selecting a suitable location for the shoot this will involve a group shot so everyone who turns up will get in the mag which im told will be on the stands second week in January:w00t:

Hi Tony, I wonder if you should talk to Barry about the position of the sun around mid-day. I've found all my best photo's have been earlier in the morning or later in the arvo, when the sun's straight up everything is a white-out.

Just a thought.

OTC decal still on my black machine B,man ive put some time in polishing and finishing bits on it so it looks real pretty for the mag also put the black short track shrouds on with new decals...looks wild !

Ive been busy finishing my black R for the shoot,pipe blasted and painted,some new bolts,new rear grab bar,black ST shrouds with new decals,just need to throw on the beadlockers and paddles for the shoot Sunday,i think its the only all black plastic watercooled R in OZ.
My sister-in-law was handy for a girly pic :naughty:

Well OZQUAD44 and i are back home and totally worn out,man what a day it was awesome,the photograher took over 200 pics for the mag so he has a lot of material for the feature,many thanks to Barry from ATV Action for his work today.

I think I blinked and half the day went. Time flies when your having fun.

ChrisD, Those 70s are not even remotely stock. Think of a XR600 thumper just 4 inches off the ground and your in the ball park.

Nice spill Greenhuman. Aussie told me that you couldn't ride your way out of a wet paper bag........ I'll have to listen to him a bit more in the future I reckon.....

P.S. It was an electrical fault on the TECATE, not a jetting issue. I believe that It was caused by me gobbing off when that 250R blew up. I'll keep my fat mouth closed next time.

Aussie - Fantastic photos of an awesome day - although I live in South Australia it would be cool to have a STOCKTONFEST 2007 or some like function! You could count me in for at least 2 attendees!

After the turnout on Sunday i think an Australian Trike Fest would be possible im at least wanting to organise a big ride day with some sand drags included...... i think im correct in saying everyone had a great time.

P.S. It was an electrical fault on the TECATE, not a jetting issue. I believe that It was caused by me gobbing off when that 250R blew up. I'll keep my fat mouth closed next time.

Its an awesome shot BGM,im serious here those little 70's lined up with Yamaha Raptors and beat them over a drag strip some time back ....they are scary fast !

2nd week in January,the layout has been completed and i MAY be getting a sneek peak this week from the editor also i sent the group shot to Dirt Wheels in the US so that may get a run in the next issue as well,see how we go.
